I really wanted to like this one. It read more like a screenplay which makes sense considering that the author is a screenwriter. And I think it actually would make a good movie/limited series. But as far as book form goes, it didn’t work for me. The way we swapped between characters was odd and it seemed like the only thing that the two characters had together was their trauma bonding. I might give this another chance and hope that I finish it the second time around.
