Strong and promising start but it’s a very slow build up to a very fast paced relationship. Considering the length of the book, you’d expect a bit more building on the relationship, instead we spend about 60-70% of the book watching the characters pine silently for each other, they have their first time together and then we get told the rest in a monologue 🙄 I would have LOVED to see the scenes we were told about but never got to actually see!! They sounded so fun, but instead we got a slow burn for a novella and a lot of scene skipping.

The ending was also not it for me, it felt like the author didn’t really know how to naturally wrap things up and resolve the overarching conflict the story was built on.
