I know that this is a classic and whatnot but I really didn’t like it. And having to read a play that you don’t like twice at two different schools really sucks.
I feel like their relationship was extremely shallow given the whole “love at first sight” thing which I’m usually okay with as long as that’s just like the beginning of the relationship and the characters continue to fall in love with each other as they continue to learn more about the their partner. The whole thing with how Romeo was head over heals for Rosaline until suddenly he spots Juliet and she just disappears makes me feel like Romeo is very shallow.
The whole part where they both die also annoys me because I don’t understand how they can be so infatuated with each other that when the realize that the other is dead, they kill themselves. Maybe it’s because I’ve never really loved anyone or something but I just don’t see how they could get to that point in LESS THAN A WEEK.
