this book was so confusing and all over the place for me. might be my fault i didn’t realize this wasnt a stand alone book. it took me 2 chapters to realize the cats could talk.
it was also so easy to guess the killer as soon as they were introduced. like there was no doubt it wasnt them there was no attempt to throw me off it was like cemented once they were introduced.
the murders were being pinned on someone else and the characters were so set that it wasnt this guy so there was truly no time i ever doubted myself when i figured out who the killer was. that made the whole book so boring i was thinking of dnfing bc i literally already knew who did it.
also the sub plot of the cougar was so pointless it doesn’t go anywhere except. oh dont be out late because the cougar is out there and dont go to that one place because thats where the cougar is. it kind of interfered with the main plot but not enough to where it was important.
it was a meh book dont really care much about or for it.
