Death of a Green-eyed Monster by M.C. Beaton

4.0

3.5 Stars, rounded up.

Hamish Macbeth is one of my favorite series; I adore Hamish and the town of Lochdubh. I was so saddened by M.C. Beaton's death. Per the preface, R.W. Green worked with Ms. Beaton on this novel and is continuing her legacy.

It is lovely to be back in Lochdubh. As the series has gone on, it has lost some of the sparkle from the earlier novels, but I still enjoy the characters. I think Mr. Green did a good job writing Hamish; he finds himself involved with a new woman in this novel. Some of the regulars made it into the story, it's always nice to see them.

Overall, if you're a fan of the series, I think you'll like this one. If you're not - I would start at the beginning.
