The Moorchild
by Eloise Jarvis McGraw
I started this book a few hours ago and DEVOURED IT. What a delightful story that blends fantasy and contemporary so well.
It’s about a young girl, Saaski, half moorfolk and half human, who is banished from her home in The Mound and switched with a human child. As she grows older she struggles with the idea of trying to be a “normal” human child and deal with her memories of being one of the Folk. Where does she belong?
It’s a magical story. Dedicated, “to all the children who have ever felt different,” this book was written for everyone because I believe we’ve all felt different at some point in our lives.
