Great start to a long, immersive story told over the course of five books!
While the pace ebbs and flows, I don’t think I never found myself questioning whether I’d finish reading. The characters (especially Shallan and Jasnah) are unique and intriguing, each bringing their own unique perspective and flaws to the table.
Brandon Sanderson has yet to fail me when I’m looking for spectacular world-building.
