*AUDIOBOOK*
I'm very torn on this one. It might be more a 2 1/2 star? I genuinely can't tell. I feel like it could have been worse...and it could have been better. So much of it was cringe, but also a lot of it worked for me. Or could have worked for me? I think a lot of it came down to the struggling chemistry between our main couple. So much of their banter felt forced and cringey. And holy heck was it WAY. TOO. LONG. No fluffy romance book like this should be over 10 hours on audio. Honestly, under nine is probably the sweet spot.
I did like the bare bones of the story? And I think she was trying to write something more complex and interesting. I just think she missed the mark. Maybe I would have liked it more if I'd physically read it. Sometimes, hearing things spoken out loud makes it much more stark than when you just read it in your head. I don't think I'll continue with this series. But I am planning on reading Olivia Dade's new book when it comes out.
