How to ADHD: An Insider's Guide to Working with Your Brain (Not Against It) by Jessica McCabe

I struggled with this book and have conflicting feelings. I got tired of listening to the author remind me she has ADHD every two sentences. it became really tedious. it also felt really whiney at times and similar too "you can't be mad, I have ADHD" excuse. because of this it felt like the author was putting all or most of the burden on to those who do not have ADHD to forgive, accomodate, and be more understanding towards her and the ADHD community. as someone who has been married to a person with ADHD for 15 happy years, it is really hard to hear someone basically lecture me about how I am not doing enough for my partner and I need to make their lives easier.
I read this book because of my spouse so I felt bad that I didn't like it as much as the reviews led me to believe I would. There is some good information on this book and it is super easy to understand. There are also a lot of personal stories and anecdotes.
