Another Pan by Dina Nayeri, Daniel Nayeri

4.0

As much as I was let down by the misconception this would be a retelling of Peter Pan, it still managed to peak my interest and give me a great adventure. Frankly, this book's only relation to Peter Pan is the usage of names, but it blended these characters with Egyptian mythology. That's an odd combination, and that's exactly why I liked it. This YA novel is one-dimensional with its characters, but I got hooked as I was trying to solve mysteries and puzzles. For 400 pages, it's a really quick read and a good book for the youthful side of the reader. But don't expect anything more than that.
