Curbing Traffic: The Human Case for Fewer Cars in Our Lives by Melissa Bruntlett, Chris Bruntlett

3.0

Enjoyed this. The authors moved their family from Vancouver, Canada to Delft, Netherlands and detail their personal experiences of the effects a more liveable city had on them and their children as well as lots of more geeky transportation stuff. I like that it wasn't just "cycling is great" (despite totally agreeing with that) but also about how less traffic makes live better for everyone including those who can't cycle, or even walk. The takeaway for me was learning how the Netherlands also had a “that won‘t work here” attitude on its journey to becoming a bike paradise.
