I really wanted to like and enjoy this book. It's been on my TBR for years, as I love a queer sports romance, but I was severely disappointed in the writing itself. It felt very childish to be a young adult book. The vulgar language felt forced, some of the character's choices were off, and I really would've liked to see more from the story in general. Maybe I'm not up to date with the "Young Adults" terminology now-a-days, and don't keep up with them as much anymore. . .
The whole story is a cute idea, like I love a wlw football player x cheerleader relationship, don't get me wrong. I'm always on board to reading one of those stories. This one just wasn't my thing unfortunately.
