The Candy House
by Jennifer Egan
I appreciated how poetic and thoughtful this book was. It was definitely in my top 10 of the year, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must-read for everyone.
It was similar in a lot of ways to the movie Life Itself, or any other movie that begins with characters all over the board that you slowly realize are entangled with each other in a myriad of ways. It deals with heavy topics in a lighthearted way that makes them fun to ponder during & after reading.
