The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh

5.0

Have you ever had one of those books that came into your life at just the right time? That was this book for me! It is a reminder that there is happiness all around you, and that YOU can be happiness to others.

On her 30th birthday, Isadora, a no nonsense, lonely-by-choice researcher comes across a list of 31 Ways to Be Happy. Ever the skeptic, Isadora resolves to complete the list to disprove its ridiculous claims.

I could go on and on about how much I love Isadora's character. Her internal (and spoken!) dialogue is so funny and undeniably relatable. The entire cast of characters is amazing and inspiring -  I want to do better like Isadora, I want to be a good friend like Darby, I want to grow old in love and optimism like Marty, and I'm grateful I have my own encouraging and loving man like Cal. I also couldn't get enough of the relationship between Isadora and Delilah. I love her.

I definitely have plans to purchase my own physical copy of this book so I can proceed to highlight every other line! It's such a great story, and I'm so glad I read it!
