Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky
5.0

This was my introduction to Dostoyevsky. It was the beginning of a new friendship, I'm sure. He gives an amazing character study of a man we aren't really supposed to like. He's so sad and mean and pitiful, it can be hard to read. But there's that glimmer of hope. and tries to answer that big question of whether we can truly be honest, most of all with ourselves.
I'd watch 'Taxi Driver' after I finished this book.
