There were some grammatical mistakes and strange grammar uses (i.e., elipses not tied to sentences and the altering use of three and four period elipses) that sometimes took me out of the story, which is why I give this book 4.5 stars rounded up. Otherwise, this story was perfection to me. Gothic, spooky, time-jumping, and a villainous MMC that is truly believable as the type of male to burn down the world for his love. Obsession does not begin to describe it. One of my favorite reads of the year.
