The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle by Janet Fox

Student Reviews:
*I definitely enjoyed reading The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle. It was a suspenseful and creepy novel that takes you back to the 1940s during WWII. You follow Kat and her siblings and friends on journey during their strange stay at Rookskill Castle Children's Academy. Lady Eleanor is up to no good, trying to charm all the children in the castle so she can gain power and life. My favorite character was Robbie, a very determined and courageous boy who is Kat's younger brother. I loved the cover, it only added to the creepy feel of the book. With all the rooks and the dark sky, very nice. I think the author chose the title because the children that attend the school get charmed by the Lady. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read a spine-chilling novel. –Amanda C., 7th grade 16-17

*You would like The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle if you like creepy, kinda scary, suspenseful books. The books about kids going to a school that's a castle, and they find the Lady Elenor suspicious and they try to find out what's going on in Rookskill castle. –Sevian M., 7th grade 16-17

*The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle is a great book for readers who want a good mystery. Told in third person with flashbacks to the past, Janet Fox brings you alongside Kat to find out the secret of the castle and the creepy Lady Eleanor. –Kiersten R., 7th grade 16-17
