I adore the writing style of Jennifer E. Smith. She has a very distinct way of writing, and I fall in love with her characters every time I read one of her books. This book in particular showed a great use of obstacles. I was surprised at almost every turn in the book, and pleasantly so. I also loved the dialogue/ email communication that’s laced throughout the book. Right off the bat, there’s an immediate sense of who the characters are and what their relationship is like.
