Buddy-read with a friend of mine. Absolutely loved the way TJQ writes her story! The sheer level of political intrigue and maneuvering she writes is woven very well and everything in this book happens for a reason. It's absolutely fantastic and engaging, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance! Can't wait for the rest to be released in English!
(Also, the pairing here? Headed into darkship territory properly. There literally wouldn't be any other way to write them that would make sense for how this story goes; it has to be a darkship, and I love that that is the direction this took, because it shows the sheer strength of TJQ as a writer. She knows what she's doing and she does it well, and with intellect and intent. Can't praise that enough!)
