Tempting Auzed
by Victoria Aveline
Another great listen even though I had to take a lot of breaks to meet other reading obligations. The best part was obviously Wilson, lol. Their connection in the beginning really hooked me when I wasn’t sure if I’d like the direction things were going.
I really enjoyed the ending but I was definitely getting a little exasperated with the will they won’t they and all the non-communication. If they had just discussed their feelings and concerns the book would’ve been half as long, or would’ve been able to be expanded in a different direction. Their chemistry really great so it got a bit tiring to listen to Auzed fight it so damn hard, and for Alex to not be upfront.
I think Alex is the most relatable FMC so far though. She’s not TSTL but she is a bit impulsive, as anyone reasonably would be in her situation, and she can be a little reckless but again, reasonable given the situation. She also had the most realistic, imo, reaction to being abducted and mourning/worrying for her family. But she didn’t wallow, which made her a better character to me. She accepted eventually that what she had now was worth staying for and that she could communicate with her family someday, hopefully. If not actually see them again.
I’m eager to jump into the next book, it’s a good friend’s favorite of the series aside from Theo’s. ☺️
