apotts 's review for:
Ronit & Jamil
by Pamela L. Laskin
I didn't mean to read this in one sitting. I was going to study the structure and word choice on each page, take it in slowly, but I HAD to find out how it ended.
So I read it again. And again.
Not only did I learn a bit more about an age old conflict, but I fell in love with the characters as they grew to love one another and to make difficult decisions about choices in life. I highly recommend this book.
There are references to some mature moments, so my sixth graders are out on this one. Seventh and up would love it.
