Jog On: How Running Saved My Life by Bella Mackie

5.0

Raw, honest, relatable and practical.

Thank you for being so vulnerable, a fantastic listen. Bella is completely open about her battles with mental health, you really feel connected to her and her story, you feel like it's an old friend. There is no pretence, no bravado, just her raw emotional story. She is completely self aware, and also self deprecating and that's what makes her writing so honest. I Iove the little glimmers of comedy that inject personality. Most of all I love how fearlessly she speaks, you get a sense like this is therapy for her.

A fantastic book to start the new year with, I've just started my couch to 5k, and Bella has really given me the comfort I needed to know what ever effort I put in no matter how small I'm progressing. I feel the benefits already mentally I feel less foggy. I'm sad this is the end of the book, I need more Bella - MORE!
