zennor 's review for:
Three Men in a Boat
by Jerome K. Jerome
I do love the humour of the late 19th Century very much so when this book hit that spot, it was at its best - which was really 5 star materials.
However it could not keep it up for all of it and despite loving it the overall experience lacked the consistency and the blend of humour along with the labourious use of town names and places that really seemed like filler (other novels of this period are susceptible to this as well) it brought this book down.
Nevertheless, I love the period of literature this was written in and find this very amusing for a short and not widely read classic.
