To say this installment of the Sarah J. Maas universe had me hooked would be a MAJOR understatement! I am a huge Crescent City fan, and this book totally hit!

Overall, I enjoyed the story, as well as the connecting between the ACOTAR world and Crescent City world. There may have even been some hints to things in the Throne of Glass world...? Only time will tell with her future books.

The amount of POV switching, though... boy, it was a lot. So many POVs. I know they were all necessary, but it was like whiplash sometimes. I would have liked to have seen more interaction with the ACOTAR inner circle in the main story rather than the bonus chapters, but this is a Crescent City book.

Another "meh" for me that had me rolling my eyes were the actions of Therion and Ithan. Like, dudes... seriously? Get it together!

But, I absolutely LOVED the development between Ruhn and Lidia! I had a feeling I knew where they're relationship was gonna go since about the 75% point of HOSAB. I hope to see more of them as time goes one.

In short, I loved the book. I will probably do a huge SJM reread soon because there are things that popped out in this book that seems to make appearances in other books.
