An interesting thought experiment (similar feel to The Soul's Guide to the After Death.) Good but predictable. Flawed - decisions are far too complicated for one regret to yield a specific book. All the decisions after it would have led to an infinite number of other books. Preachy at the end. Feels a little dismissive of clinical depression and brain chemistry that is out of someone's control,
as though considering the impact one makes on the world around one's self and the possibilities that still exist in life should solve someone's depression and make them want to keep living. That the only good, happy life is the one where you don't need antidepressants or anxiety medication, which is totally dismissive of genetics and so many other factors of mental illness. Everything wrapped too perfectly and happily in the end.
