Bruno, a nine yarrs old boy is asked to leave his home in Berlin and move to Auschwitz because of his father’s job. This made him sad and lead to so many questions in his mind. Why are they moving?
What was his father’s job?
Who’s Fury?
Why is his father called Commandant now?
And many more such questions.

Unfortunately, they had to leave. After reaching Auschwitz nothing felt the same to Bruno. He missed Berlin, his friends and there were no other children to play with. I felt alone so he decided to explore the area himself. Soon he comes across a boy named, Shmuel. They both shared the same birthdates and eventually become very good and close friends.

But will their friendship last?
There is so much more in the story, so I want you all to pick it up soon.

I loved Bruno, his innocence, childish behaviour. While reading the book, I questioned myself how a nine yarrs old boy can be so kind and ask deep questions.

The way the author has written the book is childish, it is written from the POV of Bruno but it is definitely not for a nine-year-old child. The writing is very simple yet very deep.

As it is a fable, the friendship between Bruno and Shmuel indicates that we are all more alike than we are different. Bruno being a Nazi’s son and Shmuel a Jew. I believe that these differences should never come from society. After all, we all are human it's just these divisions that separate people.

The book ends with a quote, ''
