It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Well, this book was a feeling. But really. I mean, I started because two books failed earlier this year, so I thought why not start. I'd heard about it, but I hadn't seen the movie or read the book (until now), I just knew there was something about Mr. Darcy that everyone was passionate about.

Elizabeth was an extremely lovable and intelligent character - exceptionally not the kind to throw everything away for a man, and I loved that about her and, of course, her stubbornness. Mr. Darcy was a very complex character, but for me he was probably one of the most understandable, pure introverts who knew when to speak and when to be quiet.

The plot was easy to follow, although I got confused about the characters in the middle (but that's my fault). In addition, the pace was extremely slow, which is not exactly the best choice for a book of this size. Basically, Jane  wrote beautifully about nothing and the same time everything, but really. It's unlikely I'll read many classics in the future, but it wasn't as bad as I expected.
