Ibsen’s A Doll House was written in 1879 and at the time the ending would’ve enraged a lot of people, men mainly. However, in our current time I find Nora empowering and brave. Although the beginning she could be annoying, when you read closely you can see she’s actually a mastermind that is also naive. Does that stop her? Almost, but her decision at the end holds a lot of power that most women at the time wouldn’t dream of having.
