I really liked the setting, the story’s concept, and the main character. Some of the scenes and themes were tough to process, but I think they were handled fairly well and not romanticized. Overall, the book was decent, though it didn’t blow me away. I’ve heard the series gets better with each book, so I’m definitely curious to keep reading and see how it develops.
