There is no real character development. There’s a great deal of mental illness, but no explanations, just vague speculation. Clearly the author believes giving out small bits of disjointed information makes the plot more mysterious. I assume she’s going for an ‘art imitates life/life imitates art’ vibe, but it falls short as she’s given the reader little of either. I determining what is truth and what is fiction, look for the biggest holes in the story.
Graphic: Sexual content and Abandonment
Moderate: Child abuse, Cursing, Mental illness, Toxic relationship, Murder, and Schizophrenia/Psychosis
