This book was absolutely incredible. I began this book with some trepidation due to its length but in the end the story told itself. It was easy to read, continually exciting, and I hope the is a second instalment telling more about what happened to the characters in their later years.
The book wove an intricate and complex tale from so many perspectives. The lore, religions, history, and characters were so complex I was continually shocked at how this whole story could fit inside someone’s head. This is one of the best high-fantasy books I have ever read and will recommend it to anyone who will listen. The prose is excellent, the imagery and storytelling are excellent and the ideas and themes are cleverly crafted with social commentary from our own world.
