Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata

5.0

absolutely fantastic. couldn’t put it down! so many themes to chew on throughout this little novel. i fell in love with keiko immediately, and her quest to understand the hidden language of being an adult. in the end she just gives up and does what she loves, working at the convenience store. i feel like people are overthinking this book, take it as it is, a wonderful and simple woman doing wonderfully simple things.
