I’m not quite sure how i’m supposed to sum up this book or my feelings for it, i’m definitely glad I listened to the hype. This book gave me really big divergent vibes at the beginning as all the students pick a quadrant, Violet being forced to pick the riders quadrant by the mother. We soon learn how deadly the riders quadrant is and how many students don’t survive (this book left me heartbroken as you students are constantly dying). The romance between Violet and Xaden omg so romantic, i’m honestly hoping the series is gonna play out to be book 1 is the start of the romance, book 2 the groveling and building the relationship, then the rest of the series is them as a power couple fighting war. That’s basically my dream for these books i don’t want slow burn rn I want them to be happy and to be together my heart hurts for them they’ve been through so much not even taking about being riders, both have such troubled paths. Can’t wait for Iron Flame, need it immediately, going to be counting down the days till publishing day. All in all, i’m heartbroken and have never sobbed so hard at a book and so ready to do it all again in November
