sheldynely 's review for:
Ulysses
by James Joyce
I genuinely cannot rate this book so I refuse. I want to kiss James Joyce on the lips but also slap him across the face. 100/10 for difficulty. Reading this book requires a type of commitment that approximates religion. Read this book like a Bible on literature, sex, humanity, and Ireland post WW1. I am in AWE of Joyce every time I open this book, but I also despise him for making it so difficult to get through. Anyways, I would sadly say it’s a must read (at least once!).
