I'm not going to lie. I went into this book knowing that the narrator is intentionally written to be unlikable, but I rooted so hard for her to overdose. That would've been a better ending than she still feels like garbage but garbage that's at peace after being a horrible friend and person. I don't care what the booktok girlies say, I see their love and obsession for Miss Narrator, but she is the worst. Her self aggrandizing is so annoying and grating, and the book would've ended better with her dead. That said, I was sucked into the audiobook and finished it in two days on a higher speed. Was it because I wanted to get past her self important bullshit and hear her die? Yes. Was I let down when she was alive? Also yes.
