This book had been sent to me a several months ago to check out by the publisher. I picked it up two days ago and had a hard time putting it down. I really enjoyed this book, it is a great story and reminded me a bit of "Fried Green Tomatoes" mixed with a bit of "Bridget Jones Diary". Part of the novel is set in 1907, while the other is current day. I rarely read about that era and for once actually thought about what it would be like to be a female in that time. We take quite a bit for granted now including voting rights, ability to live as a single woman in an apartment, etc. I am thankful towards the women that paved the way for us one hundred years ago. I would definitely recommend this novel.
