No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy
3.5
dark emotional mysterious tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

As someone who watched the movie first, I don’t feel particularly about this book one way or the other. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t move me. I didn’t connect with any of the characters. The only thing that stood out to me was how highly Bell spoke of his wife. Not bad, but nothing to write home about, and not a book that I would reread either.
