Naruto, Vol. 21: Pursuit by Masashi Kishimoto
4.25

*Review of Volumes 19-21*
Ending Tsunade's arc was pretty epic. I got myself all the feels. This is the first time Naruto has to defend the dignity of the title Hokage, so I feel this battle must've felt a lot more personal to him.
Ah, here we go back to focusing on the main cast. I must have been dense as a rock to not see how much Sakura cares for Sasuke.
Sakura even hugs Sasuke I think this is the second or third time? If this were a shojo manga, I would scream because they have finally overcome wishwashy feelings, but alas, Sasuke has no need for girls. How anticlimactic.
I think I've realized I need insane amounts of blushing and losing it to realize that something significant happened romantically. Do I love this ship? The first time I watched the anime, no, it didn't have my heart because I didn't like Sakura or Sasuke all that much, but this time around, taking it slower, I think it's definitely growing on me. I mean Sakura gives Sasuke a surprising amount of love. That I can respect. Even  if moody Sasuke is rejecting all said common sense. In my defense, around here, in the anime felt the fight scenes were going on forever and I had started to lose steam.
That's right, here Sakura has gained a lot of momentum in terms of maturing for her understanding of Sasuke and her willingness to protect Sasuke, but this also leads Naruto to mature as well by putting that infamous brave face in the face of certain death. I can't wait for the character development. Shikamaru is really taking charge, which is always great to see him in the spotlight. Second is Choji taking center stage, which also nice to see his struggles and how he wants to contribute to the team.
