The Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis
4.0

I love reading books by this author as she does so much research about the buildings that she focuses her stories in. I love the way she is able to make up tales from the past and the near present that eventually come together. So this one seemed a little far-fetched. Additionally, one of the protagonist, Laura, annoyed me some. It was almost as though her selfishness made her foolish. She’s really the only reason that I am not giving the book five stars. Laura’s storyline took on too many avenues. Having said all that, Davis’ writing is smooth and easy but not simple. I look forward to my next book of hers.
