Okay, so this is a solid four stars. It could have been higher, but the amount of essays in this book was about five too many. The plot was so engaging, but then Hugo would be like, "What if I spent 75 pages on a topic I'm really interested in that will add almost nothing to the context of the story?" And then he just kept doing that. Now I know why there are so many abridged versions of this book! The story is actually awesome, but you have to trudge through all the boring to get to it. It's so good though, that it still deserves four stars.
