Hmmm… listen… I really wanted to finish the trilogy. I found out that the finale had been published in 2024 and since I never read the sequel after finishing the Blood and Bone book, I thought might as well read it all this year. Virtue and Vengeance was still engaging if a little repetitive, but the ending just threw me for a loop. Literally what the freak. How are you so close to a conclusive ending only to throw in some BS cliff hanger that makes no sense to the story at all whatsoever. This is a story about Orïsha aka one country. Why all of a sudden introduce an entire new country, language, and magic system in the last book of a series?! The ending of Vengeance and Virtue just pissed me off so much I searched up the ending on the internet. Needless to say it seems most fans of this series are equally as unsatisfied as I am. I will not be wasting my time reading this. I do genuinely like the concept of the world and will be tuning in for the movie (or movies?) eventually, but I’m just gonna pretend this last book doesn’t exist lol.
