Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney

5.0

I’ve read this twice and both times I’ve reached the same conclusion of it being a 5 star read. Conversations with Friends is my favourite piece I’ve read from Sally Rooney and I love the varying relationship ship dynamics and how it changes throughout. I particularly love that it covers women’s health in a tasteful way, as it is so important that there is coverage of these issues. It has that classic Sally Rooney feel of if they just communicated the relationships would improve and there would largely be very little conflict - which makes it an enjoyable read. But, it does sort of make me want to have an affair with a depressed married (sort of failing) actor, which is largely problematic.
