Shifting Shadows by Erin Hunter

4.0

Still dark, still pretty good, still a little more dramatic than nescessary.... I liked it. Erin Hunter is apparently fine with explaining baboon brutality, down to the flinging aside of every "bloody body" as well as describing both cannibalistic lions and wild dogs who hunt animals to only eat their hearts.
Throughout most of the book I was just thinking how many problems would be fixed if the characters would just think for one minute longer. It's frustrating!
It is still a good book, though. Mostly because of nostalgia, I think...
