The Importance of Being Roxie by Cori Cooper. This is the story of Roxie Lewis and she has realized in her last year of high school that she should not have wasted all of her time clothes and friends and should have lived life to the fullest. The only way Roxie things she can change things is to change herself immediately. She wants to do important things, things that will inspire her future so she changes everything about herself and finds herself super popular. While being popular is fun and all she missed who she used to be and the friends she had then. Does she really have to change herself to be the real Roxie? She starts to really reflect and think hard about how she wants her life to go and she doesn't really want to pretend for the rest of her life that she doesn't like clothes and old movies. Popularity is not all its cracked up to be and she is missing all the things from her old life. This is a young adult book full of self reflection and finding out that its ok to just be yourself.
