Hairpin Bridge by Taylor Adams
3.0

Lena’s twin sister is reported dead- a suicide jump from Hairpin bridge. Lena travels to Hairpin bridge herself, to speak with the officer who found her sister and find out what really happened that day.

The book started off really strong, had me invested right away. Flashbacks to her sister’s point of view and back to the present kept me on my toes, and I loved the suspense. Towards the middle to end, the suspense lessened a bit for me, but I still enjoyed the book.

What I wasn’t crazy about was how the majority of the story took place on the bridge. I’m not sure why that didn’t sit well with me, but it’s just one of those things I wasn’t crazy about. It seemed a little far-fetched at times, which I don’t mind and actually like, but it had just a bit too much for my taste, in this situation. I also felt like the ending wasn’t very plausible, kind of from left field.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a quick, fast-paced read, full of suspense. It wasn’t my favorite by this author, but still a good one.
