Daughter of the Pirate King
by Tricia Levenseller
I read the one with the ugly cover but this one looks better.
This is not a literary masterpiece but it made me want to watch all the pirates of the Caribbean movies again. And I don’t think I’ve ever read a pirate romance so I’ve got nothing to compare this to. This was such a quick and fun read for me. Read it in one sitting. It’s only 230 pages or so though.
Alosa, the pirate princess daughter to the pirate king, gets caught on a ship on purpose to steal a part of a map they have. On this ship she falls for Riden, who’s the first maat and interrogates her. They’re enemies to lovers and he has a soft spot for her and is also a nicer pirate than the others.
There are also more fantasy elements in this (sirens) don’t want to spoiler though.
