Wow! This was an intense Shakespeare, but quite engaging and a fun read. We see huge character shifts through Macbeth and Lady Macbeth switching views through the story on how to handle the prophecies given. In the scheme of deciphering Shakespeare’s words, this one landed on the easier side for me, only really using metaphors in the prophecies given, which made it easier to follow. The soliloquies of this play were quite moving, and some of the best I’ve read, very much moving the plot forward and keeping the emotion in the characters. Overall a good read, and a wonderful play for character shifting and development.
