I'm not normally one for dystopian murder tropes, but something drew me to this book. Despite the heavy focus on killing, I found that it was very reflective on the state of humanity in general.
Reading the scythes' journal entries was interesting. To my chagrin, I sometimes found myself resonating with thoughts transcribed by characters that I generally despised on principle. It just goes to show that there people are always more complex than how they present themselves to society.
