This is by no means a perfect book but I sure was charmed by it. When the book made the first jump to the present I was in disbelief, thinking how could they possibly be hung up on a whirlwind weekend romance? But then as the story progressed the story of their past kept unfolding and I began to see what they couldn’t leave in the past. Though it was still hard to fathom I found the story telling was extremely effective in helping the reader see how the public speculation of their speculation and work contributed to their own curiosity regarding one another. By the end of the book I could almost believe how the six days that they’d spent in total with one another was enough. Anyways, very pleased.
