All Passion Spent by Vita Sackville-West

This was a delight. What might have been a depressing premise, was in reality so light hearted and gentle. An 88 year old woman finally gets to live as she pleases; she embraces quiet and relative solitude, enjoying the company of a few like minded characters. An ode to the rich inner lives of the oddballs who'd rather just get on with things as they see fit and who refuse to succumb to convention.
